Betwinner cashback: the sports bonus and the casino VIP levels
Cashback means money back. Betwinner has two of them: a flat 3% on sports losses every week, and a casino program where the percent grows with your level. They are counted by different rules, and the sports one is the easier to get.
Betwinner: the upsides and the catches
- Real cash, no wagering. The sign-up bonus next to it carries a x5-x35 rollover.
- Sports cashback pays every Tuesday on its own, with no level and no code.
- It counts losing bets only, so a profitable week still pays.
- Casino cashback starts at 5% on day one, with no stated maximum.
- A profitable period in the casino pays nothing.
- Casino money has to be claimed by hand on the payout day.
- Diamond and its 11% sit at about €87,000 of stakes.
- Roughly thirty casino games are excluded, almost every roulette among them.
- On sport, totals, handicaps and odds under 1.50 do not count.
- Betwinner can refuse a bonus without explaining why.
Two Betwinner cashbacks, and why they are not the same
The sports offer is the same for everyone. You bet on football, tennis or any other sport. At the end of the week Betwinner looks at the bets you lost and pays 3% of their stakes back.
The casino offer is a loyalty program with eight levels. The more you play, the higher your level, and the bigger the percent. It starts at 5% and goes up to 11%.
| Sports cashback | Casino cashback | |
|---|---|---|
| Percent | 3% for everybody | 5% to 11%, by level |
| Counted from | the stakes of your losing bets | your stakes minus your wins |
| Paid | every Tuesday | every 1 to 7 days, by level |
| How you get it | it arrives on its own | you press Claim |
| Maximum | 1,000 USD a week | no limit in the rules |
You can use both offers. Sports bets and casino bets are never mixed in the calculation. Both need an account, and a Betwinner promo code adds a sign-up bonus on top of them. Payments, markets and support are covered in our Betwinner review.
Part 1. Betwinner sports cashback
Sports cashback: 3% of your losing bets
At the end of the week Betwinner takes every sports bet you lost and adds up the money you put on them. You get 3% of that sum. The official sports cashback rules put it plainly:
The bonus is worth 3% of the total stake of your losing bets
Read that line twice. It says stake of your losing bets, not the money you ended the week down by.
An example. During the week you place ten bets of €100. Five of them lose. The lost stakes add up to €500, and 3% of €500 is €15.
Which sports bets count for the 3%
Not every bet goes into the sum. Four rules decide:
- The odds must be 1.50 or higher. A bet at 1.40 brings nothing.
- Bets on totals and handicaps do not count at all. The rules say: "Bets on totals and handicaps are not included".
- The bet must be settled before the cashback is worked out.
- Cancelled, sold and open bets are left out.
The second rule is the one that surprises people. Over and under bets, Asian handicaps and European handicaps are all outside the offer. If most of your betting looks like this, your cashback will be far smaller than you expect. Plain match results, double chance and outright winners are the safe choice here.
Why the sports cashback pays even in a good week
Here is the part most players miss. The sports offer looks only at the bets you lost. Your winning bets are not taken away from that sum.
So a good week still brings money. Say you lose €500 of stakes and win €400 on other bets. You are only €100 down, but your cashback is still 3% of €500, which is €15.
The casino program works the other way. There your wins are taken off your stakes first, and a period in profit pays nothing at all.
When the sports cashback lands on your balance
The money is credited by 12:00 (GMT+3) every Tuesday. It comes as real cash on your main balance, so there is nothing to play through and no button to press. In the wording of the offer, the bonus is "credited to your main account as real money".
The week runs from Monday 00:01 to Sunday 23:59. The smallest payment is 1 USD. Sums under that are not paid. The largest is 1,000 USD a week, which means the offer stops growing once your weekly lost stakes pass about 33,000 USD.
Your profile has to be complete: full name, email address, country of residence and a phone number you have confirmed. One player gets one payment per week.
Part 2. Betwinner casino cashback
What the casino loyalty program gives you
You play casino games. Some days you lose. At the end of a set period Betwinner counts what you lost and sends part of it back.
The money comes as normal cash on your main balance. You do not have to play it through first. Many casino bonuses ask you to bet the bonus many times before you can take it out, and the welcome offers on this site all do. This one does not.
New players start with 5% back once a week. There are seven more levels above that.
The eight casino levels, from Copper to VIP Status
Your level sets two things: how much you get back, and how often.
| Level | Cashback | How often |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Copper | 5% | every 7 days |
| 2. Bronze | 6% | every 6 days |
| 3. Silver | 7% | every 5 days |
| 4. Golden | 8% | every 4 days |
| 5. Ruby | 9% | every 3 days |
| 6. Sapphire | 10% | every 2 days |
| 7. Diamond | 11% | every day |
| 8. VIP Status | 0.05%–0.25% | every day |

Everyone starts on Copper. Level 8 looks strange in this table because it uses a different rule, and the section below explains it.
How Betwinner counts your casino points
You move up by collecting experience points. You get them for your bets.
A bet is called a stake. For every €1 you stake in the casino, Copper players get 100 points. The rate grows with the level: 150 points on Bronze, 200 on Silver, and up to 400 on Diamond. Accounts in other currencies use the same value in their own money.
Points you have already earned keep their value. Each step is collected at the rate of the level you hold at that moment, so a higher rate only starts working from the day you reach the new level.
| Level | Points needed | About this much staked in total |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 300,000 | €3,000 |
| Silver | 1,000,000 | €7,700 |
| Golden | 2,000,000 | €12,700 |
| Ruby | 5,000,000 | €25,000 |
| Sapphire | 15,000,000 | €58,000 |
| Diamond | 25,000,000 | €87,000 |
| VIP Status | 75,000,000 | €212,000 |
The euro amounts are close estimates, not exact figures. The first levels come quickly. The last ones need very large sums, so most players stay in the top half of the table.
How the casino cashback sum is worked out
On levels 1 to 7 the sum comes from your losses only.
First Betwinner adds up all your casino stakes for the period. Then it adds up everything you won. The difference is your loss, and your level percent is taken from it.
Cashback = (all stakes − all wins) × your percent
The casino loyalty rules write the same formula as (Total amount staked - Total amount won) × cashback%.
An example on Copper. During one week you stake €1,000 in total and your wins add up to €700. You are €300 down, and 5% of €300 is €15.
Now a week that went well. You stake €500 and win €600. There is no loss to return, so your cashback is zero. The rules are short about it: "no cashback will be credited".
This is the main rule on levels 1 to 7: no loss, no cashback.
What changes on casino VIP Status
Level 8 is the exception. There you get money back from every bet you make, even the ones you win. The rules put it as "credited from each bet, regardless of the result". The percent is much smaller and depends on the game:
- Slots: 0.25%.
- Lotteries, keno and bingo: 0.20%.
- Live casino, where a real person deals the cards: 0.10%.
- Table games and other machines: 0.05%.
If you play several types of games, each type is counted at its own percent and the parts are added together.
An example. In one day you stake €5,000 in slots and €5,000 in live casino. Slots give €12.50, live casino gives €5, so your cashback is €17.50.
How to claim your casino cashback
Your cashback is counted as you play, but you can only take it on the last day of the period. That period is one week on Copper and one day on Diamond.
Bets from the current day do not count. Only the days before the payout day go into the sum.
One line in the rules matters more than the rest here: "Cashback is paid without wagering requirements."
The money will not appear by itself. Open the Casino cashback page in your account. It shows your level, your points and the amount in the Cashback field. Press Claim, and the money moves to your main balance.
Casino games that do not count
Not every game brings points or cashback.
The Win Games section gives no experience points, so time spent there does not move you up a level.
About thirty games are also left out of the cashback sum: Live Slots, Dogs 3D, XKeno, Live Roulette, Tron 3D, Velo 3D, Penalty, Keno Night, Bingo 37, Keno Live, Bet on Horses, Fortuna, Fortune 18, Bet on Dogs, Bingo 37 Ticket, Craps, Chicago Nights, Romeo, Baccarat, Bird of Paradise, Safari Hunter, Blue Ocean, FaFaFa 2, Fishing God, Fishermen Gold, American Roulette, Plinko, Chinese Roulette and European Roulette.
Nearly every roulette table and baccarat table is on that list. Check it before you play, or you may lose money for a week and get nothing back.
Why Diamond can pay more than VIP Status
VIP Status is the top level, so it sounds like the best one. For most players Diamond pays more.
Slots give back about 96% of all the money staked on them over a long time. The other 4% stays with the casino. So €10,000 of spins costs a player about €400 on average.
- A Diamond player gets 11% of that €400. That is €44.
- A VIP player gets 0.25% of the €10,000 staked. That is €25.
VIP Status has one advantage: it pays on good days too. On Diamond a day in profit brings you nothing at all.
Even so, short periods work for you. On Copper the whole week is counted together, so your wins on Monday cut down the losses you had on Friday. On Diamond each day stays separate: a good day pays zero, but it takes nothing away from the money you get back for your bad days.
Small casino rules that new players miss
- You get nothing for a period you finish in profit, unless you are on VIP Status.
- If your level goes up during the day, that day is still counted at your old level.
- Very small bets, under 0.01 in your currency, are ignored.
- The final sum is rounded to two decimal places.
Both offers side by side
Which Betwinner cashback pays you more
Take a player who stakes €1,000 a week and loses €300 of it.
In the casino on Copper that is 5% of €300, so €15.
In sport the sum depends on how the €1,000 was split. If €500 of stakes went on bets that lost, the cashback is €15 as well, even though the same player won €200 back on other bets. If €700 of stakes lost, it is €21.
The sports offer is the more generous of the two for the same money, and it needs no level and no button. The casino offer wins later, when your level is high: at Diamond the same €300 loss returns €33 instead of €15, and it is paid every day.
When Betwinner can refuse the cashback
Both offers have the same hard rule about accounts. One person may have one account. If Betwinner finds several accounts sharing an address, a computer, an IP address, an email, a bank account or a card, the bonuses on those accounts are cancelled. In the casino program every experience point on them is deleted as well.
One more limit applies to both offers: accounts held in cryptocurrency are cut off from bonuses altogether, cashback included.
The rules also let Betwinner "refuse to credit the bonus... without providing an explanation", and ask for identity documents before paying it. That is standard language in bookmaker terms, but it is worth knowing before you plan around the money.
The short version
Both Betwinner cashbacks return real money with nothing to play through. The sports one is the simpler and, for a normal player, the more useful: a flat 3%, paid on its own every Tuesday, counted from your losing bets only. Just keep the odds at 1.50 or higher and stay away from totals and handicaps.
The casino one pays more in the end, but only after a long climb. Getting from 5% to 8% takes about €13,000 of stakes, and you have to lose money along the way. Nobody wins by playing more in order to reach a higher level.
Think of cashback as a small refund on money you were ready to spend on games. Set a budget first, and play only with money you can afford to lose.
